Annotation:

The photograph was received from Brzozovski, artist Strauss and Okolov. The man is wearing a “talith gadol,” a large talith that was always put on for the morning prayer. The photograph was displayed at the Russian Ethnographic Exhibition of 1867 in Moscow.

יהודי מעיר ווילנה. מחוז וילנה, עיר וילנה. יהודים אירופאים. צלמים: ברז'וזובסקי. 1866. על הגבר לבוש "טלית גדולה", אשר היה חובה ללבוש לתפילת שחרית. התצלום הוצג בתערוכה האתנוגרפית הרוסית שהתקיינה בשנת 1867 במוסקבה.
