Annotation:

A back pendant for a shaman's caftan. It is made from a horizontal strip of tanned leather, trimmed with blue fabric, to which are sewn six vertical stripes with snake heads, representing snakes—symbols of the shaman's journey through the worlds of the universe. Fringe is attached to the snakes' tails and to the body, representing the animal's limbs and tail.
