Wooden, with a blunt thick head having four facets on a round end. There is a sinew winding and remnants of three-part fletching near the heel. Ayami, or archery, was a traditional mass game. All grown-up population took part in shooting arrows. Considered in the summing up were the range, accuracy, and flight force of the arrow, which had to hit the target.
