Simakhta simir or kozuor skin, a vessel for making kumiss, a tall trapezoidal leather bag tapering towards the neck. Gussets of the same material are inserted in the sides to increase the vessel’s capacity. On one side of the vessel, pendants of metal thimbles and strings of beads are attached. A long horse-hair rope is attached to the neck edge. With the aid of this rope, the bag is suspended to a crossbeam between two pillars. Abstract by V.V. Gorbacheva
