The gaters are made from catfish skin strips, and trimmed at the top with red and blue keta salmon strips, the lower edge is decorated with two strips of the same colors of carp skin, with a spiral foliage ornament. Strings are attached at the top for tying the gaters to the special “teli” belt or to “pelvis covers”.
