The gaters are made from keta salmon skin, with the top and bottom edge decorated with curvilinear ornament stripes painted in multicolor dyes. At the top, loops are sewn on for passing the strings, with which the gaters were tied to the special belt “teli” or to “pelvis covers.” The gaters were worn with low footwear.
