According to the ideas of the Udege, the soul of Omi was born on the "solar" tree of life growing on the eastern mountain of the Upper World, where the mistress of the larch Tagu mama lived. The shaman, during a ritual over a childless woman, went to Tag Mama to receive the soul of the child. To “strengthen” the soul of the Omi and preserve the souls of children in those families where they often died, they performed a ceremony near specially constructed platforms and the Turu shaman tree.
