Sewn from motley young deer skins (pijiki skin) as a wide-hemmed closed-up shirt, fur outside. The sleeves are wide, tapered towards the wrist, with white dog fur trimming at the wrist. To increase the garment’s length, a broad strip of brown deer skin is sewn to the hem, with trimming of brown glutton fur. The inner side of the coat is dyed tile red with alder bark. The edge of the triangular collar bounded with a motley pijiki strip was strapped up with a tendon rope in cold weather. It was worn next to the skin under a rigid warrior’s armor. Abstract by V.V.
