Annotation:

Jewish ethnographic expedition of S. A. An-sky. On the left, the sign attached to the wall reads, “Ironware and hardware. Great choice of scythes;” at the bottom, above the opened cellar door, “Grocery and tobacco trade. YA. PECKER.”

Ethnical annotation:

חנויות. הקצה הדרום-מערבי. יהודים אירופאים. המשלחת האתנוגרפית היהודית של ס'.א'. אנ-סקי צלם - יודובין ס'.ב'. 1912-1914. נגטיב. שלט על הקיר בצד שמאל: "חנות כלים ומוצרי ברזל. מבחר חרמשים גדול". למטה, מעל דלת המרתף הפתוחה: "מכולת ומוצרי טבק. י'. פקר".
