Annotation:

On the reverse of the letterhead card is the inscription: “To my brother, friend, and teacher of first steps of my musical education 19-13/ I – 10.” Apart from A. Makovsky’s studio, Wittenberg’s house also hosted Brozi’s hotel, and the jewelry store of Shmuel Noah Rosenfeld who rented almost a whole storey of the hotel’s wing for his family. Artist Marc Chagall later married his daughter Bella Rosenfeld.
