Annotation:

On the reverse of the letterhead card “A. Posse, Smolensk” is the ink inscription “At the passing to the 2nd grade. Photo taken in the summer of 1897.” Photographer Adolf Karlovich Posse worked in his studio in Smolensk from 1876 till 1896; after his death, the business was taken over by his widow Agrafena Afanasievna in 1897-1899.

דיוקן זוגי של שתי נשים צעירות. סמולנסק. יהודים אירופאים. צלם א'.א'. פוסה שנת 1897. על גבו של טופס האמן האישי "א. פוסה, סמולנסק"- כיתוב בדיו: "באת המעבר לכיתה ב'. צולם בקיץ 1897". הצלם סמולנסקי אדולף קרלוביץ' פוסה עבד בחנות הצילום משלו בשנות 1876-1896, ולאחר פטירתו המשיכה אלמנתו של אגרפנה אתנסייבנה את העסק בשנות 1897-1899.
