Camouflage board for wild deer hunting with a rifle. It was used for individual hunting in the tundra and forest tundra in winter by the Nganasans, Entsi, Nenets, and Khanty. Covered by the hide, the hunter stole up to a herd within a shooting distance, watching it through the hole in the wooden shield. In winter, the outer surface of the hide was masked by snow, and in summer, by tufts of grass. Abstract by I.A. Karapetova
