The collection features two pairs of Chinese soldiers. They could have participated in the parade, as depicted in the play, or were guarding honored guests, like the Russian soldiers—"Urus-sarbaz". The dolls wear long robes and hold spears or sabers, the primary weapons of the Chinese army.
