Annotation:

There are two versions of the origin of the name Monastyrschina. According to the first one, the name originates from a monastery located there in the 13th – 14th century; according to the second one, from the spring called Monarschizna (Monastyrschizna).

סוחר. מחוז מוגילב, אוייזד מסטיסלבסקי, עיירה יהודית מונסטירש'ינה. יהודים אירופאים. צלם קרוקובסקי מ'.א'. 1898 תמונה מודפסת. ישנן שתי גרסאות למקור השם מונסטירש'ינה. על פי הראשונה - השם בא מ"סקיט" המנזר שנמצא כאן במאות ה-18-19, ועל פי הגרסה השנייה - מן הנחל בשם מונרש'יזנה (מונסטירש'יזנה).
