Annotation:

According to the documents, there were two Monastyrschinas in the late 18th century, a village and a shtetl. The former was the residence of Polotsk seneschal M. K. Golynsky, and his serfs lived in the latter. In the late 19th and early 20th century Monastyrschina remained the Golynskys’ property; the shtetl had 1896 residents, 2 Orthodox churches, a synagogue and 2 prayer houses, a tannery, and 66 shops.

משרת בבית האדון. מחוז מוגילב, אוייזד מסטיסלבסקי, עיירה יהודית מונסטירש'ינה. יהודים אירופאים. צלם קרוקובסקי מ'.א'. 1898 תמונה מודפסת. בסוף המאה ה-18, על פי התעוד, היו שני הישובים בשם מונסטירשצ'ינה: מושב קטן ועיירה. במושב התגורר סטולניק (בעל משרה חשובה בתקופת הצאר) של פולאצק גולינסקי מ'.ק'., בעיירה התגוררו צמיתיו. בסוף המאה ה-19 - תחילת המאה העשרים, עיירת מונסטירש'ינהנשאר בבעלותה של משפחת גולינסקי, בעיירה התגוררו 1,896 תושבים, היו 2 כנסיות אורתודוקסיות, בית הכנסת ו-2 בתי תפילה, בית מפעל עור, ואף 66 חנויות.
