It portrayed the elder Borto: according to one legend, he was a warrior of the Khangin clan, who migrated from Manchuria in the 17th century; according to another legend - a great shaman. Ongon Borto was kept in a yurt and revered as the spirit of the ancestor - the patron of the Buryats.
