Khantumi, armbands of Chinese fabric in the form of yellow and red strips (red in the center and two yellow on the sides). On the end is an ornamented oval part with a long fabric tie-string for tying on the arm. The ornament on the end part of the armband has a spiral pattern in the center and angle shapes on two sides, above and below, forming a tiger’s face. The armbands were wound on an arm near the wrist to protect and as amulet against evil spirits. The tiger’s head symbolized the ancestor, a strong protector.
