Annotation
The tambourine served as a musical instrument, as well as a shaman's means of transportation around the worlds as a deer or musk deer, from which leather a tambourine membrane could be made. It could be a gathering place for the shaman's helping spirits and could symbolize the shaman's ancestor-twin.
