Annotation:

A shaman's headdress with a backband. It is a round cap made of elk suede, dyed red. The cap is decorated with three rows of short suede fringe. A round iron disk with jagged edges is sewn onto the crown of the cap. Three kolinsky pelts are sewn to the back of the cap, representing the shaman's spirit helpers. The backband is trimmed with a strip of blue fabric and stitched in several rows with white deer hair. Sewn onto it are bone figurines of birds with outspread wings and round bone buttons—symbols of the Sun.
