The knee-high boot top is sewn from dressed seal skin dyed brown with alder bark. The sandal-type sole is of seal skin, fur inside, with edges bent upwards. A leather strip is inserted in the seam between the yop and sole to protect the foot against moisture. The upper part of the boot top is decorated with a light strip of seal skin (mandarka) and embroidery with white hair from under deer’s neck. The footwear is fastened on the leg with long belts.
