Trapezoidal birch bark boxes covered with a jacket of deer leg skin and suede decorated with bead embroidery. The bags were attached to the deer’s pack saddle on both sides; they were intended for carrying utensils and food during migrating. Saddlebags placed close to the dwelling place were also used to keep the family’s belongings. Abstract by M.V. Fedorova
