Annotation:

The gaters are made from grey cotton fabric on a calico lining. At the top and bottom they are decorated with multicolor fabric strips, with a curvilinear ornament along the lower edge. At the top, they are also decorated with a curvilinear appliqué ornament of black fabric. strings for tying to a belt or “pelvis cover” are sewn to the upper edge, and strings for winding round the ankle are sewn to the lower edge.
