Consists of two deer skin suede parts, a plastron and an apron stitched to it. Decorated with bead embroidery, hair from under reindeer’s neck, and little bells serving as amulets averting evil spirits by their ringing. The fringe too was credited with protective magic powers: it was believed to confuse evil spirits and to drive them away. Abstract by M.V. Fedorova
