Annotation:

The traditional summer costume of the Evens consisted of a caftan, a plastron, a bonnet-shaped cap, and footwear, all made of deerskin suede and decorated with bead embroidery and hair from under reindeer’s neck. The parka was a caftan worn open, with a straight front slit and flaps that did not meet together, therefore a plastron was always worn under it. The cut of the parka was the same for men and women; the women’s parka differed by décor details and richer decorations. Abstract by M.V. Fedorova
