Late 19th century – early 20th century
Carved out of wood as a long flat stick with five round holes in the upper part and a hook in the lower part. A stick of circular section is passed through one of the hook’s holes and then put on poles stretched over the hearth. The hole for passing the stick is selected depending on the required boiler elevation above the hearth. Abstract by M.V. Fedorova
