Annotation:

It was part of the small puppet theater orchestra, which, in addition to the tambourine, included a paired drum, the "nagara" , and two wind instruments—the "karnay" trumpet and the "surnay" reed instrument. To enhance the tambourine's sound, it was heated over a "mankal-don" charcoal brazier, which also served to heat the drums.
