Annotation:

Puppet of the glove puppet theater (Uzbek “kul kurchak”). In the Muslim tradition, a monkey was considered an “unclean” animal, and direct communication with it, even in puppet shows, was reprehensible for a Muslim. The doll has six-fingered palms, which emphasizes the marginality of the character.
