A puppet from the Chodir Hayal puppet theater. Seyid Mohammad Khudoyar Khan (1832–1886) fled under Russian protection in 1875 following an armed rebellion in the Kokand Khanate. In 1876, he was escorted to Orenburg, from where he embarked on a long pilgrimage to Mecca and died on the return journey in Herat in 1886. Nevertheless, this figure remained popular in puppet shows even into the early 20th century.
