“Razok namista”, a women’s neck decoration. The namisto is a popular women’s decoration, a kind of beads. The beads were made of various materials, from stone to glass. In some cases, the namisto was supplemented with dukach gold coins and a cross arranged in the middle. Wearing a cross over clothes was an ancient tradition that appeared in the 17th century. In the Ukranians’ clothing set, the cross indicated the person’s affiliation with Orthodoxy and served as an amulet and decoration.
