A wooden structure with a hollow central part, into which a stem is inserted fixed with the aid of a pin and a leather ring. Two parallel crosspieces are secured in the central and upper part perpendicular to the handle. The lower edge of the upper piece has two small notches for securing bast. Thick ropes for tackle were braided using a reel. The raw material was willow or lime bast.
