Kokoo, a shamanic cult object. An image of cuckoo carved from wood, with a tail, wings, a stretched neck and a head. The body is elongated. Lines are slit in the tail. Eyes and a beak are marked on the head. Stripes in two colors are applied to the figure. At the bottom is a hole for fitting on a pole. Usually, it was installed at the shaman’s dwelling place or at the shaman’s place of prayer. The cuckoo was the image of the shaman’s helper ghost.
