In the center are three round holes: a large one in the middle for slipping over the pole and two smaller ones on the sides for fastening with belts. Three protrusions with triangular cutouts. Pegule, a movable stopper, part of a staff. Usually it looked like a wooden ring attached to the base with leather belts. Pegules carved from wapiti’s bone or horns also occur.
