The lower tapering part ends in a slightly bent bone pike; fixed on it is a wooden ring with belts criss-crossed on it; the top part ends in a small spatula. In winter, a hunter moved on his personal skis. The pole size depended on the man’s height. When skiing, a special tioo staff was used, its length reaching the hunter’s shoulders. The top end had the form of a spatula intended to shovel snow and clear the skis free of snow. When descending a hill, the hunter bestrode the ski pole and deftly rolled down.
