Three-pronged iron spear pike, attached with a rope to a small gouged piece of wood. It was hafted on a pole with the gouged end. Fishing was of great importance to many groups of the Udege. Mostly, it was men who went fishing. The spear of two types, fixed and detachable, was among the essential fishing implements.
