Kerol, a fishing net weaving tool. Consists of a wooden fork with a moving crosspiece, and two spool gauges for the net meshes. One of the gauges, resembling a sand-glass in shape, has a bone edging and a round through hole in the center. The other is of a rectangular shape, with a carved ornament and a round through hole where a rope is passed. All the parts are tied together with cotton ropes. Net weaving was man’s work. The mesh size depended on the type and size of fish, for which the tackle was woven.
