The women’s robe “amiri” is made from keta salmon skin, kimono style. The back is decorated with fish skin appliqué painted blue, with an ornament of stylized bear’s and birds’ images. Metal plaques are sewn to the hem in one row. In cold seasons, women put on several robes one over another; the number of robes also indicated the owner’s wealth.
