Irregular quadrangle, sewn from one piece of birch bark. The top edge is reinforced with a thin strip of dyed birch bark sewed on with osier roots. Birch bark is one of the most widespread materials for making domestic utensils. It was harvested and processed mostly by men, while it was women who made articles.
