It belongs to a complicated bow type, with handle covered with birch bark and with tendon threads fixed on the outside. The bow was reinforced by arranging tendon threads along the handle. The Chukchi used a rope braided from tendon strands. The Chukchi retained the complicated bow type up to the early 20th century. It was mostly used in military conflicts. Abstract by V.V. Gorbacheva
