It consists of a thin wooden shaft and an elongated bone arrowhead. The head was fixed on the shaft’s upper end with a thin tendon rope or with tendon threads. The fletching of bird feathers was important for the arrow’s flight. Along with bone arrowheads, the Chukchi used stone and metal ones. Abstract by V.V. Gorbacheva
