Overalls - women's clothing, part of the shaman's costume of the "transformed sex". The costume consisted of women's clothing: overalls, a hat, a badge and women's shoes. In such a costume, a shaman performed a ritual. Among the peoples of the Northeast, the Chukchi and Koryaks a special category was represented by the shamans of the so-called "transformed sex". The sacredness of the costumes of these shamans was emphasized by elements that are not typical for traditional men's and women's clothing: the presence of a slit in the front, fringe, trim, images of helper spirits. Shamans of the "transformed sex" were considered strong.
