It is a forged sharp missile, shaped as a fork with seven teeth notched at their points. The fish-fork was fitted over a sawn-off handle, fixed with wire, and wedged up. The fish-fork was mostly used for night catching of large river fish. At the front of the boat, in a special device called “koza,” fire was kindled, which attracted fish from the water bottom, and the fisherman stabbed it with the fish-fork. Abstract by O.G. Baranova
