The photo shows women wearing traditional festive costumes. They have on long fur coats with wide sleeves, with puffs on the shoulders, and silver grivnas over the fur coats. They have tall fur caps down to their eyes. Women wore such costumes not only in winter, but also in summer, at the Yssyakh feast and wedding. They were a necessary attribute of the bride’s dowry, were very highly prized, and were hereditary. Abstract by M.V. Fedorova
