Shown in the foreground are three eight-pointed crosses in an Old Belief graveyard. One of the crosses has a log casket under a V-shaped roof. The installation of a casket as a tomb in addition to a cross or a pillar with a carved roof-shaped cover is typical for an Old Belief tomb. The casket placed onto a burial mound protected it against damage and served as an architectural decoration. Abstract by O.G. Baranova
