Annotation:

The boas were generally sewn from tails of squirrels or other fur-bearing animals. Since the clothing of the Dolgans, the Evens and some other Siberian Arctic peoples had no collars, such scarves were tied on the neck for protection against cold and wind. Sometimes, the boas were worn on the head instead or over a cap. Abstract by M.V. Fedorova
