Annotation:

In the late 19th century, the shtetl had 2692 residents, 24 shops, 4 water mills, and a distillery. About 300 millstones made of chalky sandstone from the banks of the Tarnava River were made in the shtetl annually.

בית כנסת מעץ. מחוז פודולסקי, אוייזד אושיצקי, עיירה יהודית קיטאי-גורוד ("צ'יינה-טאון"). יהודים אירופאים. הצלם שרוצקי ק'.ו'. 1910 תמונה מודפסת. בסוף המאה ה-19 התגוררו בעיירה 2692 תושבים, פעלו 24 חנויות, 4 טחנות מים והיקב. כל שנה, יוצרו בעיירה כ-300 רחיים מאבן חול הגיר של גדות נהר טרנאווה.
