Annotation:

Painted eastern façade of a synagogue. The arch in the middle of the wall indicates the place of the Aron Kodesh (housing of the Torah Scroll) in the praying hall inside the synagogue. Pictured on the wall are trees, Torah Scrolls, deer, shor (symbolic bull) and leviathan (sea monster). In the center of the gable are the Star of David and lions.

בית כנסת מאבן. מחוז פודולסקי, אוייזד אולגופולסקי, עיירה יהודית פסצ'נקה. יהודים אירופאים. הצלם זארמבסקי א'.אי'. .צילום משלחתי. 1924 תמונה מודפסת. חזית המזרחית של בית הכנסת עם ציור הקיר. במרכז הקיר מסומן בקשת מקום ארון הקודש (ארון לאחסון מגילת התורה) באולם התפילה שבתוך בית הכנסת. על הקיר צוירו עצים, מגילות התורה, צבאים, שור (שור סמלי) לוויתן (מפלצת הים). במרכז הגמלון נמצאים האריות ו"כוכב דוד".
