Annotation:

At family sanctuaries, near important hunting acreages, rites were held aimed to achieve good luck in hunting/fishing. By all appearances, the sanctuary captured in the photo is a family one. At the center of the picture is a larch tree, believed by the Nenets to be a fortunate tree. Through it, communication with the Upper World was maintained. Close to it is an anthropomorphic wooden image of the ghost Master of the area, and other objects. Abstract by I.A. Karapetova
