Annotation:

Especially popular among the Jews at that time were doublets (camisoles, kamzul), which were of a more complex fit than oriental robes: shoulder seams, set-in sleeves, and button or hook fastening. Doublets were made from homemade and mill fabrics – cotton and silk, striped and with abr pattern, of checkered and floral-ornamented fabrics. Such doublets were worn by male Bukharan Jews of all ages and social statuses in the late 19th and early 20th century.

יוסוסיא קלונטרוב, בנו של דויד קלונטרוב, לבוש ב "קמזול" עשוי מלכאת יד מחצי משי. חבל-ארץ טורקיסטן, מחוז סמרקנד, עיר סמרקנד. יהודים בוכרים. תמונה ממשלחת אתנוגרפית ס. מ. דודין משנת 1901-1902. צלם ס. מ. דודין שנת 1902. בקרב היהודים היה מאוד פופולרי ללבוש קמזול, כי סיפקו חתך מורכב וקשוח יותר מאשר מעפורת: תפרי כתף, שרוול תפור, כפתור או וו. "קמזול" תפרו מבד כותנה או משי בעבודת יד או בבית חרושת - מפוספס ועם דפוס, מבדים במשבצת ובתבנית פרחונית. "קמזול" מסוג זה בקרב היהודים הבוכרים בסוף המאה ה 19 - תחילת המאה ה 20 לבשו כל הגברים ללא יוצא מן הכלל.
