Annotation:

Jewish ethnographic expedition of S. A. An-sky. To perform the wedding ceremony, the groom and the bride are to stand under the chupa, a textile canopy attached to four poles. The chupa symbolizes the groom’s home, into which he introduces his bride.

חתונה ברחוב ליד בית הכנסת. מחוז ווהלין, אוייזד לוצקי, עיירה יהודית פולונויה. יהודים אירופאים. המשלחת האתנוגרפית היהודית של ס'.א'. אנ-סקי צלם - יודובין ס'.ב'. 1912. תמונה מודפסת. על מנת ביצוע הנישואין, על חתן וכלה לעמוד מתחת ל"חופה" — האוהל מבד המחובר ל-4 קורות. "חופה" מסמלת בית של חתן אליו הוא מכניס את כלה.
