The photo shows Teriberka, an encampment first mentioned in the 16th century. Teriberka is on the Murman coast of the Kola Peninsula, at the mouth of the namesake river, where it meets the Teriberka Bay of the Barents Sea. In the 19th and early 20th century, Teriberka was considered one of the best encampments on Murman. The photo shows dwelling and service houses, and fishing vessels; in the foreground is the wooden church of the Georgian Icon of Our Lady built not later than 1885 and torn down in 1996.
